The Lucknow franchise acquired three critically acclaimed players for the Indian T20 Premier League’s latest edition. Lucknow Super Giants cultivated Australia's allrounder Marcus Stoinis as an overseas player in the team. Stoinis will be offered a pay of INR 9.2 crore (USD 1.24 million approximately), rounding off to deduction of 10 crores from the franchise’s account.

According to the regulations set by the auction committee, the Ahmedabad franchise ruled out INR 38 crore, higher than the threshold set by the Indian T20 Premier League for uncapped players.
